Winterfest and ..

[Wednesday]..

... like I said, school was closed again. So I got up late, took a shower and breakfast and I got ready for the fotoshoot at Lifetouch. The photographer was really nice. Normallyyou have to pay 75 $ charge for doing the pictures but because I'm a foreign exchange student from Germany I hadn't to pay anything (; He said, the pics will be done after 10 workdays, so the week after this, i'll pick some and upload them.. In the evening we just kept chillin' and relaxin' ;) ...and cooking delicious Lasagna ..!


Thursday..

.. There was nothing really special at Thursday. We went to Mason city (one hour away) to Walmart and Kohl's. I got really nice black satin Peep Toes for the dance on friday and a dark blue skinny Levi's Jeans for only 30 $ (+ Tax) that's so cheap here..! In Germany they would cost 60 Euros.. i'm sure about! Than we had lunch at SUBWAYS and I got new BB-Shorts at the Decker store there.. On the way back home we bought german Bratwurst for supper. I hate them but we had Hotdogs, too :P

This evening, Laken and Arien went over to their father and spent the night there.


Friday..

.. After the girls came home from their trip, we went over to the High to look Jv and Varsity girls/boys plays. We returned home at 7 pm to take Sierra to her BB-practise and I got ready for the Winterfest. Normally the Winterfest is a dance for the students of the High School to celebrate the "end" of winter, but i'm shure that haven't been yet ! Laken, Seth, Alex and me went back to school at 9.30. At 10 pm the dance started. It was a kinda funny.. all girls were jumping around, you couldn't belive..! And the majority of the boys sat down on the seats in front of the walls around the Cafeteria. And when the music turned quiet and the slowly songs began all were searching their partner to dance. I was asked 4 times to dance but i didn't want to ;) Cara was Winterfestqueen with a little Tiara but I don't know exactly who the king was.. All girls wore dresses (exept a couple of teens who wore trousers and tops. The boys weren't dressed up. The most wore jeans and a t-shirt and some wore a shirt but nobody had a suit or that stuff.

Saturday..

..First, we planned going to Jefferson to support Seth in Wrestling. So Arien and laken got up at 6 to drive with the Murrays (Seths parents) and Verna, John and Sierra went to Eagle Grove to Sierras BB-game. When I waked up, I just got ready when they came back from her game. But we decided to cancel our plan to go to Jefferson because the wind was blowing so strong. Nevertheless we went over to Goldfield to the patchworkshop named "Honey barn" to get something for my Senior Project (I'll tell you that later ! )

There we are.. we just made something for supper (Meatballs with Barbecuesauce and rice) and now we're preparing Brownies ^^
